The second edition of the Textbook of Orthodontics is an updated version of the first edition. The basic content is still the same and covers the latest syllabus as prescribed by the Dental Council of India and other Asian countries. This edition has incorporated most of the latest innovations which have evolved in the field of orthodontics in the last couple of years. The quality and quantity of the illustrations has been improved further to facilitate easy understanding of the text. The chapters on materials, the use of computers and micro-implants have been upgraded and made more illustrated. Each chapter has been provided with a list of books/articles which present the contents of the chapter in greater detail. These would aid students to gain further knowledge on certain topics which is beyond the scope of the textbook. Stress is on making the student understand the concept of diagnosing orthodontic problems, thus making early intervention possible.
