This report describes an evaluation of the RSA and RSDA programs designed to determine how the research careers of program recipients differ from those of otherwise similar nonprogram researchers, and how the research careers of program recipients vary with characteristics of the award program such as program mechanism and priority score. The findings suggest that award recipients have much longer, more productive careers, and that they produce higher quality research products (grant applications and publications) than members of the comparison group UR - http://ezproxy.alfaisal.edu/login?url=http://www.rand.org/pubs/reports/R3688/ ER -
