While the prevalence has declined in the advanced countries, the reverse has been the trend in underdeveloped and developing countries. The need to popularize the simple ‘ART’ modality is by no means an easy one. Despite, several efforts to convey the message of ‘ART’ to the profession and the public, there is no adequate enthusiasm and interest in changing philosophies of Oral Health Care. The symposium was an attempt to popularize this technique.
